Cabacongan (also spelled Cabacungan) Cove is a long, secluded stretch of fine white sand on the eastern side of Lalaking Bukid in Barangay Columbos, Basilisa. Coconut palms line the shore and towering limestone cliffs surround the cove, making it feel like a hidden world of its own.
The cove is named after the wild "bacung" plant that grows along its coast. Its rock formations and small caves are home to the kalaw (Rufous Hornbill), a rare and endangered bird often seen in the late afternoon, and the beach is a nesting site for pawikan (sea turtles). Please help keep it clean and quiet so the wildlife stays.
It is only about 5–10 minutes by boat from Duyos Beach.
